I’ve always been quick to tell people about my beliefs, and that I’m a Christian. I’ve always been quick to tell people about my significant other and how great they are, or about my job and how exciting it can be.

Knowing this, it is clear to me where my heart has truly been over the past few years, and that’s definitely not with Jesus. The things I put most value in, is where my heart has been.

I’ve recently realized the importance of letting these things loose, (figuratively speaking) and starting instead to build treasure in heaven rather than on earth.

Things of this world with inevitably fail you consistently, if you put them as number one.

Jesus will never fail you, and hiding your heart in Him means having long-term vision for your life, giving up control, and ultimately receiving freedom.

I feel blessed to be brought to this realization through suffering, because things are just so much clearer to me now.

I’m excited to hide my heart in Him.
